I am going to teach myself to knit SOCKS! I have one Sock pattern book I bought and a few I have borrowed from the library, I bought sock yarn yesterday, so today I am going to give it a go! :)
Now if anyone has a really easy basic sock pattern they can direct me too online I would be very grateful???
I am going to to make my own pair of socks if it kills me LOL! Wish me luck!

It's a great site with pics and several different methods of sock knitting. This is what I used to knit my first pair. Good luck!!

OMG! I started my 1st sock at lunch time today and so far I have the cuff done and about 2" of the leg! I am worried about turning the Heel, but I am going to do it! I will just keep trying until I get it right! :)

I've always wanted to knit socks too. I have the yarn, I have the needles, I have the time but I don't have the guts! lol!
Sylvie, I have wanted to knit socks for ages, but like you never had the guts, I signed up a few times to do a sock class but not enough people signed up so they were canceled, I just decided I was going to go for it , and so far I am doing okay :) I should start on the heel turn tonight so we will see how I am doing tomorrow LOL!
I have taken some pics so I will try to add them on during the week.
