Buying knitting books and magazines today

I bought 2 books today and a magazine.. I bought a knitting pattern book...Holiday Knits and a Simply Knitting magazine plus this fun book called.. Every cat's survival guide to living with a Neurotic Owner, By Beth Adelman.

I got such a good deal on the holiday knits book, it was marked at $26.95 and I got it for $12.99 I was so happy as I have wanted this pattern book for ages, there is a cute Striped Christmas Stocking I want to try making in it, and also a nice Hooded Sweater that I really want to make for myself.
There are two other Christmas stocking in the book but they look a bit difficult for me to make, I can't evan knit socks LOL! But I plan to take the book to Australia with me, and get my Mum to help me the the stocking :)
And then there is a payyern for Striped Stocking Caps, that I want to make for some of the kids I look after, so I am going to be really busy knitting when I get back from Australia, I have to make 2 more sweaters to match the elf hats I have made, then I will start on the stocking hats, I am hoping I can get the actual striped stocking finished while I am in Aussie with my Mums help. :)

My Cat 'Blueberry'

Is very sick, we had to rush her to the Vet's this evening, it does not look good. We are all so upset we have had her since our son was 5 years old and he is 17 now. She is part of our family... we are waiting for test results, but we have talked it over as a family, and none of us could stand to see her suffer or be in any major pain that would break our hearts so we feel if the news is bad we want to do what we feel is the best thing for Blueberry. This is such a difficult choice to make and lots of tears have been shed tonight.

The craft fair is in the morning...

so I have been flat out for the last few hours sewing up all the tea cozy's, I still have 4 more left to do, and I want to also add some flowers and a lace ribbon to all the coat hangers.. just to make them look a bit prettier for mothers day gifts. I will be up for a few more hours I think, just getting my self organized .

Casts Off, By Stephanie Pearl-McPhee and Knitting Rules, I sooo want to read these two books, but I MUST NOT! They are for me to read on my flight down to Australia, I am going to have to hide them so I can't just keep picking them up and looking through them. LOL!

99 cents ...YEAH!

Handy Crafter Cotton is on sale this week @ Michaels , so of course I had to go buy some. so much for me knitting only from my stash! :) Its not that I don't already have 3 bags full of handy crafter cotton already :) LOL!

I found an old pattern of my Mum's

for a Tea Cozy and it matches the Hand Towels and Dishcloth sets I have been making , so now I am making Tea Cozy's to match so it will make a nice 3 piece kitchen set to sell at the craft fair, I think they might sell for Mothers Day Gift Sets. Once I finish the Tea Cozy I started last night, I will take a photo of the 3 items together and include it with this post so you can all see :)

I can't find the coat hangers I need?? :(

I only managed to find 6 of the old fashioned wood coat hangers that I have a pattern for.. :( So until I can find some more I can't make anymore coat hanger covers for the craft fair April 28th :( And I know they would really sell well, oh well I will just keep looking for them so I can make them for future craft fairs.
I will take a photo of the 6 I have made and include it in this post later in the week.

Have you noticed....?

That when you are out and about, you look at what people are wearing etc: and you notice if someone is wearing a lovely homemade scarf instead of a bought one, or you pick on that they have a lovely felted bag that was more than likeley made by them or for them... People must think I am rude as I always take notice of the scarves people are wearing and I sort of jabbber/chatter to myself..." I bet that is handmade " LOL! or "That was made with Love" LOL! :)

What are on your Needles?

I was just wondering what my friends are busy knitting/Crocheting?
Or what other crafts you are all busy working on ?

I am still working on the yellow baby blanket. .... Plus I am flat out knitting dishcloths also for the Spring Fair..April 28th,,
I have to say I am so proud of myself, I have been trying dishcloth patterns that a year ago I could never have done and now I am making 1 sometimes 2 a night and they are so pretty, I will try to add some more photos later this week.

Knitting books on order

Charmed Knits, (I can not wait to get this harry Potter Themed pattern book, I so want to get busy knitting Harry Potter items for myself and my son.
Also on order I have Knit Along With Debbie Macomber ( The Cedar Cove Collection)

Plus I need to order ...Stephanie Pearl-McPhee......................."Casts Off"

O still have her last book,...Knitting Rules! The Yarn Harlot's Bag of Knitting Tricks to read but I paln on taking both on the palne to Australia with me to read on the flight, as it looks like I won't be taking my needles on the plane with me so I need lots of knitting themed books to read on the plane.

Some Nights......

When I can't sleep, I just sit and knit a dishcloth or read a Knitting Mystery Book.. I hate when I can't sleep...

Not sure if I should .....

try taking circular knitting needles on the plane with me to Australia? A few magazines articles I have read lately, say some airlines allow them as long as they are Plastic or Bamboo and they are circular needles? But the magazines also say it is up to the customs officer/bag checker person if they want to allow you to take them on the plane.. so I would hate to be allowed in Vancouver to take them then in Honolulu or Nadi not be allowed and have to leave my stuff with them... That would really SUCK!

I am not Happy With The Creative Knitting Magazine

No that's not good enough, all the magazines in that store have the flier attached on the same page so I will have the same problem with all of them, all I want is a copy of the pattern that I can not read, and I don't see why I should search around other stores in hope of finding an issue without the flier attached to that page as that is one of the patterns I want to make... So Again I am asking for a copy of the pattern I can not read.. maybe you could include the pattern on your website.

On page 83 there is the patterns for the Little Royalty Bibs, But there was a Crafter's Choice order form attached to the page and after I removed it I can not read the pattern I am missing parts of the first section under the title Bib so there anyway you can e-mail me the completes pattern so I can make this item.
Thank you.
