I thought I would also share the Baby Blanket and Dolly Balnket I made last year...

I made both for my friends two daughters. I made the baby blanket for the new baby, so then also made a dolly blanket for my friends 2 1/2 year old so she would not feel left out.

Deborah,
I like the two blankets that you made as they're so pretty and look like they're not hard.It looks like something I could do to use a lot of my yarn in my large stash and i'm sure my daughter would love me(mommy) to make a blanket for her.I made one when she was born and then I made a different kind for her for Christmas last year and she loves both.I figure you can never have too many blankets.

Lisa S this is a simple pattern it is the Granny Dish Cloth pattern where you start with about 3 stitches and you add one every row, I did them both on circular needles. I found the pattern free online .

Hi Isabelle , thanks for stopping by. :) My friend has 3 children, I am always making things for her children, last week I made her son one of those hats with the ear flaps, I also made one for each of the girls, and also a matching purse/bag for the nearly 3 year old Lily. :) I am also making Lily an evening gown for her Barbie Doll. Out of all my friends this family love getting my knitted/crochet items. Some of my friends I make them things and I never see them wear or use them so I have given up on making items for them. :(
All my family live in Australia , I do try to make things for them also but postage just kills me to mail them :(

I got a great new pattern the other week for another blanket, so I bought the yarn to make two, one as a baby blanket and the other a bit larger so I can use as a TV blanket for myself.
